David Jones starlets Jessica Gomes, Jesinta Campbell and Montana Cox were joined at the store’s Spring/Summer Collections Launch in Sydney by international supermodel Gemma Ward on Wednesday night.
Jesinta, Jessica and Montana all sizzled in what are sure to be this summer’s hottest swimwear pieces before being showered with glitter and balloons in a spectacular Zimmermann finale.

When it comes to swimwear, it looks as though black and leopard print designs will be the season’s biggest trends, with Jesinta rocking a black cut-out one piece by Bec and Bridge.
Jessica also wore a black one piece but with a cut-out back and mesh sides. The face of the store debuted a new blonde bombshell look.
‘It is a bit of a change. I love it. I have always wanted to go blonde so I thought I would try something different and change it up,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
Montana then showed off her enviable physique in a bold floral triangle bikini which showed her athletic frame before Jesinta appeared in a leopard print bandeau-style bikini and silver stilettos.
The model wore a daring see-through black crocheted dress from Australian fashion label Romance Was Born that had bright green, yellow, red and blue flowers.
Following Gomes, who is David Jones’ ambassador, Montana walked the runway in another Romance Was Born piece.
The model wore a multi-coloured metallic skirt and blue patterned top paired with a loud patterned jacket featuring flowers, eyes and clover motifs.
The look was completed with black boots with metallic toes and long earrings.
Zimmermann’s collection was whimsical and feminine, with pastel colours and girly prints.
Models walked in voluminous dresses with large skirts and sleeves.
The dresses showed off lace accents and were paired with large chunky necklaces and heeled boots.
On the other end of the spectrum, Kit X debuted their tailored drape dress, worn by Jessica with over the knee boots and a large black choker.
Supermodel Gemma Ward also walked the runway at the show, wearing a Camilla zebra print kaftan with a beaded v-neck detail.
The look was paired with a huge Africian-influenced beaded necklace that reached to Ward’s thighs.
The blonde also wore tribal-inspired earrings and sandals to complete the outfit.
Texture was another big theme for a lot of designers. In addition to the very texture pieces by Romance Was Born and Zimmermann, fashion houses Thurley and Calibre also played it up.
Calibre’s collection was all about lace and frills adding interesting aspects to the pieces. Two of the pieces featured a spiderweb-type lace over the top of simple slips.
Thurley also featured delicate lace, most notably in a standout red mini dress that all the It Girls will want to be wearing this year.
Monochrome was another big theme for some designers. Jessica, Jesinta and Montana all walked in structured white ensembles that were classic and sophisciated.
Jessica wore a one shouldered dress with bust detail, whilst Jesinta walked in a sleeveless top and straight pants.
Design houses Bec and Bridge and Jac & Jack both showed all-white ensembles as well, with the former more tailored and the later more flowing.
Gemma proceeded down the runway in a stunning strapless black dress with a daring split, showing off her baby bump.
Despite being a summer collection, many designers showed a lot of black pieces.
Christopher Esber, who also had dark pieces in his collection, also proved that crop tops and high waisted skirts are still in style.
When it came to activewear, black with splashes of blue, red and white seemed to be the key.
Jesinta showed off her washboard stomach in a blue sports bra and black leggings, whilst other models walked in mesh jumpers and grey tracksuit pants.
For men’s fashion, brightly coloured board shorts will be the key with summer, paired with t-shirts and matching light jackets.
